Not Me Monday … A Week of Treats & A Stress Free Me

There’s no better way to start off a Monday than to start it with a new list of things we “didn’t” do the previous week… Not really didn’t .. because we really did.. but here we get to unload the guilt, shame or embarrassment by admitting we did it.. without saying we did lol. If I haven’t lost ya & you’re still with me.. make sure you check out all the other folks confessing their guilty pleasures as well over at Mckmama’s Blog.. My Charming Kids.

Sleeping Angels, Too Many Sweet Treats, IV’s & Stress Free Me Time….

I didn’t cry at the sight of these 2 Angels.. Nope nodda bucket full of tears. Nor did I feel old as I thought about Lil “C’s” Mom “Katy” at 10 years old in that same position 15 years ago holding my all grown up now baby girl who’s now holding Lil C... Nope Not Me.

I didn’t sample at least 6 of these before taking them to a birthday party later.. Nor did I tell everyone that the strawberries weren’t ripe enough in hopes that I’d get to take leftovers back home. Nope.. I didn’t do that.

I didn’t make these delicious cake balls just for a Foodie Friday post either.. Just for a blog post?.. Oh Man Not Me! That’s just silly.. I also didn’t have to hear Ashley ask 25 times.. “Are you finished taking pictures yet” so she could eat ‘em.  To not get the recipe.. do not click here.

I wasn’t scared when I had to go to the hospital for a Contrast Dye test… after a not so great visit with my Doctor the day before. After suffering an Aneurysm a few years ago.. this is pretty standard in my life. I have no fear of needles.. MRI machines or bad news. I didn’t sing “ Jesus I love You because You care, I couldn’t imagine if you weren’t there. You are the joy of my salvation, You’re the peace in my storm. Your loving arms protect me, You shelter me from harm.” Nope I didn’t sing that song loudly over an over with my eyes shut tight to block out the sight and sound of the MRI machine.. Nope I didn’t do all that.

I also didn’t follow the above mentioned Doc’s warning and go home and shut off the home phone, cell phones and the rest of the world. I also didn’t enjoy an undisturbed soaking in the middle of the afternoon in this bubble filled tub for an hour.. nor did I melt every time my sweet child asked if there was anything she could get or do for me all afternoon.  That relaxed Chick.. was so Not Me!

  12. Drahdrah.. Oh Mercy I nearly had a heart attack.. The girl in the picture is my daughter who just turned 16.. but the baby isn't hers .. He is the son of a precious friend who used to baby sit for my daughter when she was a young child. I didn't realize I wasn't clear on that lol .. figured I had better clear it up before my daughter saw it & freaked out lol.
Thanks so much everyone for the great comments.. will get by each of your blogs later today with a more personal note.
    Hugs,

  13. Hello Debbie,
I am new to blogging and I came across yours and Have enjoyed following it, I now have mine set up. I wanted to ask on todays blog you mentioned you had an aneurysm, I also had one, mine was a brain aneurysm. Did you happen to have a brain or heart? I know you must thank Our God every day you are here. I have tried to locate a group or people that have been thru this with no success. Praise God for you making it and I pray for your tests.
    Thanks and God bless,
    Jolyn

  14. Hi Debbie,
It must be the sign of a great blog post when it makes you laugh, cry, .... and drool!

Your "heart attack" response to Drahdrah was hilarious (especially since you said "almost had ..."). You're far too young to be a grandmother, right?

Thanks for the sweet comment on my CIJ post.

    Bye for now,
    Bill
