After Christmas Deal

As promised here are some of my
after Christmas deals I found at Target.
I got $120 worth of deco for only $30.
Everything I purchased was for my table
that I'll be doing for the Church
Christmas Tea.
I'll be using my Blue Somerset China
so I bought everything in blue, silver
and white.
Rolls of sheer garland, ribbon and
all things glitter.

I love these different shades of blue.
Silver glitter snow flakes, a box of snow,
silver flicker candles, pale blue table cloth
and blue silver foil paper.
Silver pedestal candle holder, different shades
of ribbon.
Bag of snow from Wal-Mart.
Pearl and Silver garland, Silver Charger Plates.
The cost of the charger plates was $1.74 for the
set of 4. I feel like I stole them.
The picture doesn't do them justice.. they were
normally $6.99 .. which was deal to begin with.
They are plastic.. but so pretty.
This silver tone vase is glass and
was only $3.00 !!
The silver spray was only $1.00
you can't tell .. but it has lil tiny
silver squares that look like small mirrors.
The silver mirror is one I already had.
Better picture of the pearl and silver garland.
The Peace and Joy words are made of bendable
metal and stand up.
My Blue Somerset China on the silver charger.
I think it looks great together!

What do ya think?
You think I did good on my colors?
I'm excited about adding some of my other stuff
to it as well ... I think I have a great head
start for next year.

After Christmas

I'm Back...
*insert sweet lil southern voice*
Sorry for the long break, but
our family has been running
90 to nothing since Christmas day.
As I scanned through some of
my favorite blogs last night I saw many
blessings were answered this Christmas.
Isn't God just WONDERFUL!
My Beautimous Robe...
Jeff and Ashley gave me this beautiful
brightly colored .. unbelievably warm...
soft as a baby's booty pink polka dotted robe.
As you can see from the pictures below...
I didn't hang it up after taking it off this morning.
BIG MISTAKE!
The Baby has taken possession!
When I peeled back the top layer ..
There he was .. all nice an toasty.
Snoring like a lil piglet.
He was so comfy I just hadda leave him...
But! I'll be repo'in it later tonight!

Tomorrow I'll be posting some photos of
the goodies I found at Target today.
I hit it just right this morning,
as I was walking in they were
marking things to 75% off.
Right now they are safely locked in
the trunk of my car...
hiding from Jeff.

Happy Birthday Jesus

“For unto us a child is born,
unto us a Son is given:
and the government
shall be upon His shoulder:
and His name shall be called
Wonderful, Counsellor,
The mighty God,
The everlasting Father,
The Prince of Peace.”
ISAIAH 9:6
May your days
continue to shine brighter
from the glory of the Lord
shining upon you.
May God open our minds
to His wonders,
our hearts to His love...
our lives to His presence.
Have a Blessed Christmas Everyone!
Love,
The Jadehollow Family

Time to make the Goodies...
I always wait til the week before
Christmas to start my Christmas goodies.
Since Wednesday Ash and I have been running wide
open in my lil pink kitchen.
Below are a few samples of the things I'm
doing this year.

Haystacks

1 cup butterscotch chips
1/2 cup peanut butter
*peanut butter optional*
1/2 cup peanuts
2 cups chow mein noodles
Preparation:
Microwave the butterscotch chips and
peanut butter on 50 % power for 3 to 5 minutes.
Add remaining ingredients and blend
to coat noodles thoroughly.
Drop by teaspoonfuls onto waxed paper.
*I made 2 batches of these .. one with
peanut butter added and one without.
The batch with peanut butter came
out creamier and looked prettier.*
No Bake Chocolate Oatmeal Cookies
Ingredients:
2 cups sugar
1 stick butter
1/2 cup Pet milk
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/3 cup cocoa
1/2 cup peanut butter
2 1/2 cups oats
1/2 tsp. salt
Preparation:
In a medium saucepan,
combine all ingredients except
peanut butter and oats
and cook over medium heat.
Let boil for 3 minutes, stirring constantly.
Remove from heat and stir in peanut butter and oats.

Through The Years...

A travel back-in-time...
The memories of Christmas Past
are what make us look forward
to Christmas each year.

I received an email last week that stirred
up old memories of Christmases past ...
It started with the following statement:
"The Memories of Christmas Past are
what make us look forward
to Christmas each year."
I sat down and started flipping through old
photo albums.
Below are the reasons I look forward
to the next Christmas.
See how she's grown!
The pageboy haircut and footie pajammies!

"I've so got this guy wrapped
around my finger" Grin!
She hates this picture.. that beautiful
round face.
"There was this one lil slip..
But I can explain"

Those Eyes... Just like Daddy's.

The year she went from 88 pounds
to 66 pounds.
The next Christmas she found those
22 pounds and make-up.

Glowing Cubes

Glass Blocks
Jeff an I made these a few years ago..
Patience Patience Patience
is the key to drilling the holes.
I think we broke 3 before we finally got
one right.
All the work is worth it once you get the hang of it,
they are beautiful with their soft glow.
They also make wonderful night lights..
just change the ribbons or add vinyl decals
for different times of the year.
