Time to make the Goodies...
I always wait til the week before
Christmas to start my Christmas goodies.
Since Wednesday Ash and I have been running wide
open in my lil pink kitchen.
Below are a few samples of the things I'm
doing this year.
Haystacks Ingredients:
1 cup butterscotch chips
1/2 cup peanut butter
*peanut butter optional*
1/2 cup peanuts
2 cups chow mein noodles
Preparation:
Microwave the butterscotch chips and
peanut butter on 50 % power for 3 to 5 minutes.
Add remaining ingredients and blend
to coat noodles thoroughly.
Drop by teaspoonfuls onto waxed paper.
*I made 2 batches of these .. one with
peanut butter added and one without.
The batch with peanut butter came
out creamier and looked prettier.*
No Bake Chocolate Oatmeal Cookies Ingredients:
2 cups sugar
1 stick butter
1/2 cup Pet milk
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/3 cup cocoa
1/2 cup peanut butter
2 1/2 cups oats
1/2 tsp. salt
Preparation:
In a medium saucepan,
combine all ingredients except
peanut butter and oats
and cook over medium heat.
Let boil for 3 minutes, stirring constantly.
Remove from heat and stir in peanut butter and oats.
Spoon out quickly onto wax paper
or aluminum foil. Cookies will harden as they set.
