Double Post.. Outdoor Wed & Target Birds on Holiday

Welcome to A Double Post Wednesday..
Outdoor Wednesday
&
Target Birds On Holiday
Combined.

Today is Target Birds On Holiday
@
Hosted by: The Talented & Witty Susan

It's also Outdoor Wednesday
@
A Southern Daydreamer
Hosted By: The Always Gracious Susan

First I need to warn you..
because Dale is a tad bit self conscious.
Just as Dale an Danielle set out
on their lil adventure..
An excited Dale jumped up
on the porch railing ..
started shaking his tail feather and
lost his footing
and fell on the rocks below.

All is well..
We scooped him up
put his tail on ice
and off to the ER
we went.
As you can see below..
Dale had the best Doctors
in town working on him.

Good as New!
Back to doing tricks again.

The first time Danielle saw and fell in love
with Dale he was riding
his high wheel bicycle.
So, the
first thing he wanted to do
on their vacation was
impress his love by
taking a lil stroll across the
very same rocks
where he broke his tail feather.
If you look closely..
she's rolling her eyes
and muttering something about
macho man.

After finishing the bike trail..
with no other injuries..
they headed off to get
washed up for dinner.
For dinner Dale & Danielle dined
at the
Red Barn Inn..
Where they feasted on
Black oil sunflower seeds,
Safflower seeds and Millet.

After dinner they met up
with their close friends
Roxie & Rex
for a lil dessert treat.

On Saturday morning
Dale and Danielle went out
scouting for the perfect nesting spot.
This Bradford Pear Tree
was spacious and green.. but
wasn't quite right.

Next they checked out this coconut husk
hanging basket..
It wasn't much for shelter..
but they enjoyed swinging in the breeze.

On to the next stop..
A Bluebird Box.
It was occupied
so they quickly left without
disturbing the Momma.

A quick snack
at the Goldfinch feeder..

Checking out Jeff's handy work
on the new fence he just finished putting up.
Great job Jeff!

Candle light dinner reservations for 2
at the Green Hightop.

Being the romantic that he is..
Dale gifted his wife with
a Magenta Pearl Necklace.
In appreciation of her new gift..
Danielle gave a bashful Dale a
lil sugah.

On Sunday morning
both Dale and Danielle headed over to Church.
Where they rejoiced in fellowship
and celebrated the resurrection
of our glorious Jesus.

Afterwards they headed over to visit
another friend Greenleigh
who is also expecting.
As Greenleigh and Danielle
chatted about pregnancy Dale
checked out the foundation
of Greenleigh's nest.

Once back home..
Dale surprised Danielle with
a nest he had built while
she was sleeping.
Danielle had a lil surprise of her own..
She was in labor..

Their first arrival...
Welcome to the World
Little Della.

Dale, Danielle and Lil Della
are all anxiously awaiting the
hatching of the
rest of the clan.

Soon there'll be enough Target Birds
for tablescaping
for everyone in Blogland.

Sunday Song... Arise My Love

Arise, My Love
By: Newsong

Not a word was heard
at the tomb that day.
Just
shuffling of soldiers feet
as they guarded the grave.
One day,
two days,
three days
had past.
Could it be
that Jesus
breathed His last?
Could it be that His Father
had forsaken him?
Turned his back on his son
dispising our sin.
All hell seemed to whisper'
Just forget Him,
He's dead.
'Then the Father looked down
to his son and he said..
Arise,
My love
.Arise,
My love.
The grave no longer has a hold on you
No more death's sting
No more suffering
Arise...Arise...my love.
The Earth trembled
and the tomb began to shake,
and like lightening from Heaven
the stone was rolled away.
And as dead man the guards
they all stood there in fright
As the power of love
displayed its might
Then suddenly
a melody
filled the air
Riding wings of wind,
it was everywhere
The words all creation
had been longing to hear
The sweet sound of victory,
so loud and clear.
Arise, my love.
Arise, my love.
The grave no longer
has a hold on you.
No more death's sting
no more suffering
Arise...arise....
Sin,
where are your shackles?
Death,
where is your sting?
Hell; has been defeated.
The grave could not
hold the king.
Arise, My love.
Arise, My love.
The grave no longer has a hold on you
No more death's sting
No more suffering

Arise !

Arise !

Arise !

The Bunny Lamp..
A touch of Easter year round.

A touch of Spring

Some paper mache eggs I found the other
day that I'd brought a few years back..
finally got around to painting them.

They look pretty real huh?

Placed the paper mache eggs in a
tin Easter hanger that I also found
tucked away from years past.

The Easter Miracle

The Easter Miracle

Jesus was arrested in the
Garden of Gethsemane
by the Temple Guards through
the guidance of his disciple,
Judas Iscariot.

Judas received money
for betraying Jesus
and told the guards that
whomever he kisses is the
one they are to arrest.

Jesus is brought
bound to Caiaphas the high priest.

Conflicting testimony against Jesus
is brought forth by many witnesses,
to which Jesus answers nothing.

Finally the high priest adjures Jesus
to respond under solemn oath, saying
"I adjure you,
by the LIVING GOD, to tell us,
are you the
Anointed One, the Son of God?"
Jesus testifies in the affirmative,
"You have said it,
and in time you will see
the Son of Man seated at the
right hand of the Almighty,
coming on the clouds of Heaven."
The high priest condemns Jesus
for blasphemy,
and the Sanhedrin Trial of Jesus
concurs with a sentence of death.

In the morning, the whole assembly
brings Jesus to the Roman governor
Pontius Pilate,
under charges of subverting the nation,
opposing taxes to Caesar,
and making himself a king.

Pilate authorizes the Jewish leaders
to judge Jesus according to their own Law
and execute sentencing,
however the Jewish leaders reply
that they are not allowed by the Romans
to carry out a sentence of death.

Pilate questions Jesus, and tells the assembly
that there is no basis for sentencing.
Upon learning that Jesus is from Galilee,
Pilate refers the case to the ruler of Galilee,
King Herod.
Herod questions Jesus but receives no answer;
Herod sends Jesus back to Pilate.
Pilate tells the assembly that neither he
nor Herod have found guilt in Jesus;
Pilate resolves to have Jesus whipped and released.

It was a custom during the feast of Passover
for the Romans to release one prisoner
as requested by the Jews.
Pilate asks the crowd who they
would like to be released.

Under the guidance of the chief priests,
the crowd asks for
Barabbas,
who had been imprisoned
for committing murder during an insurrection.
Pilate asks what they would have him
do with Jesus, and they demand,
"Crucify him".

Pilate's wife had seen Jesus
in a dream earlier that day;
she forewarns Pilate to
"have nothing to do with this righteous man".

Pilate has Jesus flogged,
then brings him out to the crowd to release him.
The chief priests inform Pilate of a new charge,
demanding Jesus be sentenced to death
"because he claimed to be God's son."
Coming before the crowd one last time,

Pilate declares Jesus innocent,
washing his own hands in water
to show he has no part in this condemnation.
Nevertheless, Pilate hands Jesus over
to be crucified in order to forestall a riot.

The sentence written is
"Jesus of Nazareth, King of the Jews."
Jesus carries his cross
to the site of execution
"Calvary".

There he is crucified
along with two criminals.

Jesus agonizes on the cross for six hours.
During his last 3 hours on the cross,
from noon to 3pm,
there is darkness over the whole land.
With a loud cry,
Jesus gives up his spirit.
There is an earthquake,
tombs break open,
and the curtain in the Temple
is torn from top to bottom.
The centurion on guard
at the site of crucifixion declares,
"Truly this was God's Son!"

Pilate asks confirmation from
the centurion whether Jesus is dead.
A soldier pierced the side of Jesus
with a lance causing blood and water to flow out,
and the centurion informs Pilate that
Jesus is dead.

Joseph of Arimathea
takes the body of Jesus,
wraps it in a clean linen shroud,
and places it in his own new tomb
that had been carved in the rock
in a garden near the site of crucifixion.
Another secret follower of Jesus
named Nicodemus also came
bringing 75 pounds of myrrh and aloes,
and places them in the linen
with the body of Jesus.
They rolled a large rock
over the entrance of the tomb.

On the third day, Sunday,
which is now known as Easter Sunday,
Jesus rose from the dead.

The Tomb No Longer Holds
The King.

He Is Risen!

All of the pictures posted
belong to me an are from a live
Easter Drama that our Church did
a few years ago.
All of the costumes,
other than the leather guard gear,
were handmade by
Me
and two other ladies.
The set was built by
my husband and four other men.
It was a huge production
that my family was
so proud to be a part of.
Anytime
We can be a witness to
the story of Jesus,
and His Precious Love for
Us all..
We're gonna do it!
May You and Yours
Have A Blessed Easter.
